Letter to Society Campaign - Open Letter 1

Dear Society,
Past few days have been tough for everyone.
All living beings and mostly the superior ones like us that force other beings into danger are put to face nature's mark of vengeance.
To all classes and creeds of people, Nature hasn't shown any discrimination, what we are habituated to do on daily basis.
There is,
No gender bias,
No class/caste differences,
No geometrical boundaries,
And mainly no biased perceptions.
Nature in no way has stooped low like us.
It showed no partiality and has made us nothing but equally responsible for the ongoing crisis.
We, the superior minds existing have turned everything into chaos, which we're bound to face what we've created and shall pass on to the coming generations the very same adverse conditions.
No one may question us now. After all we're all equally responsible for the disasters happening.
But what we may answer to our kids when they grow into adults with hearts who shall pose unavoidable questions??
What have we done to mother earth?
What have we done to the rest of the living beings?
What have we done to each other in the lust for authority and greediness of power?
What good have we passed on to help mankind's existence?
Dear all,
I hope that day at least we shall,
Have honest answers that won't depress young souls;
Not deny them the hope for mutual existence;
Not make them feel burdened with the misdeeds that we've done to each other.
If we can do that later if not now, we all may be called Humans not just
The superior living beings.

Remember, no matter how much we try to fly around the global village, the roots of castism and nationalism shall keep us grounded.

Yours Truly,
Sangeetha Thotakura.

Open Letter 2

Dear Society, How are you? I hope this letter finds you in jest and jubilation. I am not sure about your mood but I was in real jubilation when I went to a hospital last week to confirm my pregnancy status. You should have seen the hospital with its looks nothing short of a corporate office. I have seen those grand hoardings quite a number of times, but one got to enter those buildings to get the real feel of it. The hospital that I visited is completely dedicated to mother and child care. It struck me unusual that such a huge building with its innumerable staff exists only to serve mothers and their children. The next time someone tells me women are not given respect in our country, I will take them to visit my hospital. One tour around those multiple stories would make even a radical feminist to concede that we do respect our women. Well, at least until they see those countless boards claiming that sex-determination tests are not done in their hospitals. Those boards are anywhere and...

Open Letter - 15

Dear Society, How are you? I am fine and I hope this letter finds you hale and healthy. Though it sounds a mere pleasantry, I want you to understand that every time I begin a letter, I truly hope to find you healthy because only when you have a healthy body can you think with a rational mind. You might find it difficult to believe me, but I have literally started living on fruits. I, who five months ago wouldn’t mind to steal a glance at a fruit stall, am now finding myself bargaining with every fruit vendor on road. Sometimes I feel there is no great relationship in the world than the one between a mother and her child. Women rarely give importance to their health but when they have a child in their womb, none can beat them at health and hygiene.   On one such fruit-stall-outing, I happened to look at a side-street aglow with a dull street lamp. At the corner of the street stood a little boy frozen to the spot under the street lamp. My recently acquired motherly instinct pushed...
