THE STORY THAT IS WAITING AT THE BORDERS OF THE NATION TO BE READ AND RE-READ

I have been taught to salute the National Flag,
I have been taught to respect the National Song,
But today I don’t find either of them deserving
When compared to ‘you’ who are living for our well being.

I have never seen your face
Nor do I know any of the great men of your race
But deep within my heart I surely know one thing
That right at the extreme corner of my nation you are still standing

My days start with Notebooks
 My nights end with Facebook
Just because of the faith
That you are still there for me to overlook

When the cold breeze chills my veins, I think of you
When the warm Sun blazes my neck, I think of you
Because For you,
The sun and the moon are the same
The chill and the heat are just a game

Call me biased, call me partial
But still, I dedicate this Independence Day to you brother
For leading the most impossible life
Just to make me have a simple smile

This day of celebration, I salute you dear SOLDIER
For carrying the entire nation on your SHOULDERS

I have seen those grand hoardings quite a number of times, but one got to enter those buildings to get the real feel of it. The hospital that I visited is completely dedicated to mother and child care. It struck me unusual that such a huge building with its innumerable staff exists only to serve mothers and their children. The next time someone tells me women are not given respect in our country, I will take them to visit my hospital. One tour around those multiple stories would make even a radical feminist to concede that we do respect our women. Well, at least until they see those countless boards claiming that sex-determination tests are not done in their hospitals. Those boards are anywhere and...

Thalaiva did make an announcement. Not what everybody expected him to make but quite the contrary. Film Stars in politics Superstar Rajinikanth , affectionately called Thalaiva , a veteran film actor and philanthropist, has been making news in Tamil politics for last five years. Rajini’s followers have been waiting for him to enter active politics since many years. It is not uncommon to Indian actors to move to politics at a later stage of their career. Tamil Nadu, in particular, has seen notable film stars turning mass leaders throughout its political history. M G Ramachandran, M Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha are some of the popular leaders from the state that had a previous career in film industry. Andhra Pradesh, is also, not unfamiliar with this trend. N T Rama Rao , a veteran film ...
